The ingredients needed to make Masala Aloo stuffed bitter gourd:
- Take 4-5 Bitter gourds
- Prepare 2- 3 Boiled potatoes
- Take as per taste Salt
- Make ready 1 tsp Black pepper powder
- Make ready 1 tsp Coriander powder
- Make ready Pinch ajwain / carom seeds
- Take pinch green fennel seeds
- Prepare 1/4 tsp Rai(mustard seeds)
- Take As required Oil for shallowfry
- Prepare 1 tsp Turmeric powder
Instructions to make Masala Aloo stuffed bitter gourd:
- First mash the boiled potatoes.
- Add dry masalas-salt,black pepper powder,coriander powder,ajwain,turmeric powder,rai.
- Mix all well with potatoes.
- Now take washed and squeezed bittergourds(karelas)and fill the boiled potato masala mixture in them.
- Heat oil in a non-stick tawa.
- I used seseme seeds oil.
- Now place all stuffed karelas at some distances and sprinkle little water over them.(it's optional) and cover with lid.
- Let them cook on sim.
- Keep on turning their sides in the meanwhile.
- Serve hot with fried onions,chapatties or parathas.
