- Wash dal and rice together add 4 cups water and pressure cook till dal is soft and mushy 6 to 8 whistles
- Heat oil in a kadai add cumin seeds once they splutter well add ginger garlic and green chilli sautey few seconds
- Then add chopped onions cook until soft and light golden then add red chilli,salt and turmeric saute few seconds add tomatoes
- Cook until tomatoes are soft and oil comes out now add the cooked dal rice mix well adjust water if too thick boil well
- Simmer 3 to 4 minutes then add chopped coriander leaves and a tbsp desi ghee mix well
