- Tadka_take a frying pan and heat clarified butter /ghee in it.. Splatter cumin then add chopped onion(brunoise dice) init.. Stir fry the onion till get golden brown colour.. Add red pepper and garam masala in it
- Put yellow dal in a borosil bowl or casserole and pour onion tadka over it(mix half tadka in dal and half for garnishing on dal)..spread tadka little bit with the help of a spatula
- Yo'r yellow dal is ready
- Serve hot with chapatti and a side dish like paneer bhurji or masala lady finger
- Instruction_this dal might n't be cooked too much earlier before serving as the texture of dal may clumpy
- Tip _if you are going to cook dal in pressure cook then quickly switch off the flame after one whistle, and not to open the lid of pressure cooker immediately and let it to cook in steam
