- Make ready 1/2 kg nduma/arrowroot
- Get 2 spoon cooking oil
- Take to taste Salt
- Prepare 1 onion
- Get 3 tomatoes
- Prepare 1 spoon royco cube
It's served for breakfast lunch and dinner, of course, cooked in different ways. Put the nduma in a sufuria (large flat bottomed sauce pan) or pot. Add water to cover the arrowroots. Boil for at least two hours until tender.
Steps to make Stewed Nduma:
- Cut nduma and set aside. Chop onions and tomatoes
- Add onions and oil fry to brown
- Add tomatoes and mash well
- Add nduma and water and boil
- Add royco cube and salt and allow to boil until soft
- Serve hot
Peel off the skin then put aside. Fry the onions until golden brown. Add the potatoes, then the tomatoes on top. I didn't have enough sweet potatoes for both of us so I had mine with left over Stewed Nduma. It was great with that too.
