The ingredients needed to make Agar Agar dates pudding:
  1. Prepare 1/2 cup dates
  2. Take 2 cups (500 ml) milk
  3. Get 1/2 cup (6 grms) agar agar/china grass strands * refer pic below
  4. Take 1/2 cup condensed milk
  5. Get as required Dates syrup

Steps to make Agar Agar dates pudding:
  1. Soak the washed and deseeded dates in half cup of milk for 25mins.
  2. Blend the soaked dates
  3. Make dates puree and keep aside
  4. Mean while soak agar agar/china grass in 1/2cup of water for 10mins.drain the water transfer the soaked china grass to the saucepan. Add 1/2 a cup of water & stir on low heat till china grass dissolves completely.
  5. Place the pureed dates and remaining milk into another saucepan. Stir on a low heat until it becomes warm.
  6. Add condensed milk and continue cooking till u see bubbles appearing around rim of the pan.
  7. Lower the flame to a sim and cook for 5mins stirring every now and then. Add the melted agar agar and stir well. Switch off the flame.
  8. Strain the mixture.(straining the mixture is important) please dont skip this step
  9. Power the mixture into silicon or ramekins molds and leave to cool in room temperature. Place in a fridge for atleast 4 hrs,or until set
  10. To serve, turn each pudding out onto serving plate.
  11. Spoon over the date syrup and garnish with some coloured sugar balls… Enjoy1. Note…* I haven't added any sugar as the dates and condensed milk gv enough sweetness, but u can add 2tbsp sugar if u need it more sweeter.
  12. You can prp this dessert in advance. And it can last for a couple of days in ur fridge.
